CSAs
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Members who sign up purchase shares of a local farm’s seasonal produce. The produce is delivered to specific locations, usually on a weekly basis. Most CSAs require about four hours of volunteer time per season.
The harvest seasons typically lasts 20-24 weeks, from June through November. Members typically sign up in late February or early March. Demand is growing, so be sure to sign up early! Most CSAs sell out their shares by May.
