Kidding Around Family Pride Picnic

When: Saturday, June 29, 10am - 1pm

Where: On the High Line (16th Street to Gansevoort Street)

What: A celebration of LGBTQ+ families and Pride through a summer festival with carnival-style games, face painting, a musical performance, and much more.

Youth Pride

When: Saturday, June 29, 10am - 1pm

Where: Central Park’s SummerStage

How Much: Free for the public under 21. There is a $10 registration fee for individuals 21+ (Guests please register in advance here https://2019-worldpride-stonewall50.nycpride.org/events/youth-pride/ )

What: A chance for young people to celebrate NYC Pride with their friends. Interactive Experiences, games and performances from Ava Max, DJ Nhandi, Deetranda, and many more!

Pride Brooklyn

 

 

 

The Annual LGBTQ+ Pride Night at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan

 

When: Thursday, June 6, 5:30pm - 7:30pm

 

Where: Children’s Museum of Manhattan

 

How Much: Free

 

What: Teach kids about the LGBTQ+ community through book readings with LGBTQ+ storylines, and arts and crafts (such as rainbow finger painting on the walls!) and more, all while exploring the museum for free.

 

LGBTQ+ Teen Night: Transforming Tomorrow @ the Brooklyn Museum

 

When: Friday, June 7, 5pm –7:30 pm

 

Where: Pull up for an evening planned by LGBTQ+ teens, for LGBTQ+ teens and their allies 14+. The night will be packed with art, music, performance, and more—all inspired by Nobody Promised You Tomorrow and the legacy of the LGBTQ+ rights movement.

Park Slope Parents LGBTQ Brooklyn Pride Potluck

 

When: Saturday, June 8, 11am - 1:30pm

 

Where: JJ Byrne Playground at Washington Park in front of the Old Stone House (game tables)

 

How Much: Free

 

What: The PSP LGBTQ group is having a potluck during Brooklyn Pride! There will be arts and crafts, face painters and more. Please sign up so we know how many folks to expect and you can sign up for what you're bringing! RSVP HERE!

 

 

Drag Queen Story Hour

 

When: Saturday, Jun 8 2019    11:00am – 11:45 am    

 

Where: Park Slope Library

 

How Much: Free

 

What: What do drag queens and children have in common? They love dressing up and all things sparkly and fancy! Drag Queen Story Hour captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity in childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models.

 

 

Pride Day in Brooklyn

 

When: Saturday, June 8, 11am - 5pm

 

Where: 5th ave between 3rd and 9th

 

How Much: Free

 

What: Vendors, advocacy groups, and social organization will line the streets for food, crafts, and fun. Between 12 and 5pm there will be entertainment on two stages with acts from Brooklyn and beyond!

 

 

Brooklyn Pride Twilight Parade

 

When: Saturday, June 8, 7:30pm

 

Where: 5th ave between 3rd and 9th

 

How Much: Free

 

What: Come and be part of the ONLY New York City night time parade Saturday, June 8th.   The parade starts around Lincoln Place and ends at 9th St. & 5th Avenue and steps off promptly at 7:30pm.

 

 

Pride Cultural Festival

 

When: Sunday, June 9, 10am - 5pm

 

Where: CMA, 103 Charlton Street, New York

 

How Much: Pay as you wish.

 

What: Story Time will be held at 11 am hosted by Little Rainbows: Storytime at the Lesbian Herstory Archives. Performances and interactive singalongs with drag artist and activist Marti Gould Cummings will take place at 12 pm and 2 pm with workshops celebrating the LGBTQ+ community.

 

 

Ascend with Pride

 

When: Saturday, June 15, 12-6pm

 

Where: FDR Four Freedoms State Park, Roosevelt Island

 

How Much: Free (Guests must register in advance here)

 

What: A free World Pride celebration for all ages, including food trucks, Drag Queen Story hour, at 12:30pm and 2:00pm, reading books that focus on diversity and inclusion, and other fun activities.

 

NYC Pride’s Family Movie Night

 

When: Friday, June 21, 6:30pm - 10pm

 

Where: Hudson River Park’s Pier 45

 

How Much: Free

 

What: Families are invited to a free screening of Coco, hosted by drag performer Miss Richfield 1981. The pier will open to the public at 6:30.
