Park Slope Halloween Parade
Friday, October 31st
5:00pm - 9:00pm
Park Slope
Perhaps the largest children’s Halloween march, the Park Slope Civic Council’s Halloween Parade has been bringing fun and frights every year since 1986.
Each year, in a tremendous show of generosity, the merchants on Seventh and Fifth Avenues hand out an abundance of sweets and treats to a seemingly never-ending swarm of imaginatively attired children, eagerly holding up their bags. The sidewalks are an obstacle course of visual delights. Royalty and robots, animals and anime, svengalis and superheroes — all strolling the streets of the Slope in the late afternoon and into the evening.
The parade, which is open to people of all ages, steps off at 7th Avenue and 14th Street at 6:30pm. Led by members of the Park Slope Civic Council and elected officials, the parade features bands, dancers, and costumed celebrants. It travels from 14th Street to Third Street, then turns left to end at Washington Park.
Plan your costume with friends and family – we are introducing a group costume contest. Judging is at 7:20pm
