Brooklyn Community Services Toy Drive
When: By December 15
BCS works in neighborhoods impacted by systemic poverty and supports those communities with a myriad of services. They are in the midst of their toy drive and would so much appreciate volunteers to wrap toys, bring your kids (if vaccinated) to join in the fun! Donate to the New York Cares Coat Drive
When: Anytime
For 33 years, your donations to the Coat Drive have helped more than 2,000,000 New Yorkers find warmth every winter. Warmth has many layers and is about so much more than a coat; it means not having to choose between a warm meal and a coat. Warmth means looking out for one another. When you donate $25, you provide a New Yorker a warm coat, plus 10 meals, and so much more.
When: December 6 to January 8
Did you know?
- Infants require up to 12 diapers per day, toddlers about 8.
- Disposable diapers cost $70 to $80 per month per baby.

Kensington Library is collecting new and open packs of diapers and new packs of wipes for Little Essentials between December 6 and January 8.
Little Essentials distributes diapers and other infant supplies to NYC families in need by working with community partners including shelters from domestic violence, foster care advocacy programs, local family shelters and more.

PS 130 PTA Holiday Gift Drive
When: By December 10
Each year, PS 130 families join together to ensure that every child in the school has all their needs met this winter. Families in need register to receive a basket of requested items donated by the community, so that no child goes without. This year the school expects as many as 110 children to register.
The PTA will deliver a "winter warmth" package of a coat, boots or shoes, a hat and gloves to families that request it. They will also give the families an additional gift card so they can purchase their child's "needs and wants" directly—items like toys, books, games, PJs, clothing, bedding, and more.
$30 will buy a child a pair of boots, and $50 keeps a PS 130 child warm from head to toes with boots, hat, gloves, and a coat, but please know that any amount will help families in need!
