Our mission is to nurture global citizens and stewards of the environment. - Review from the Spring 2024 Afterschool SurveyProgram: Age: 5 Types of Program Spanish immersion - arts and culture Review The teachers are loving and caring and help build social-emotional skills. They have a new location on Seeley St which has both indoor space and a private large yard for kids to play, explore, get in mud, and have their agency to be outside. My kid comes home every week singing new songs in Spanish. Skills Learned Spanish language skills, social-emotional, free-play in mud, arts and crafts Changes Nothing, I love them!
- Review from the Fall 2024 Early Education SurveyReview: Art and play-based Spanish immersion preschool that focuses on social and emotional learning. Amazing teachers, leadership, and beautiful outdoor and indoor play spaces. Do not need to be native Spanish speaker or have any Spanish language background or exposure prior. Lots of community events. Lots of school break camps.; Amenities: Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Provides meals, Afterschool pickups/transportation to other programs, Provides meals for pre-k; What would you change? Nothing, fantastic program that focuses on what’s important for this age group.
- Review from the Spring 2024 Early Education SurveyREVIEW: Our child has gone to One World Project for both 3K and Pre-K and has had a wonderful experience. This is a bilingual (Spanish and English) program that focuses on social emotional learning. The teachers are warm and loving (there are 18 kids in her Pre-K class and 4 teachers). The kids are encouraged to be curious about the world around them. They have a little vegetable/fruit/herb garden where they learn about the plants and composting (and dig in the dirt!). There is music class once a week. The kids spend a lot of time outside playing and learning. Finally, OWP has created an amazing community for parents as well.; Amenities: Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Has early morning hours, Provides meals;
- Review from the Spring 2024 Early Education SurveyREVIEW: We love the teachers, the Spanish immersion, the beautiful outdoor area with new play structures and plenty of opportunities for learning, and the warmth of the parents and kids in the school community. There was so much playtime and arts and crafts, but my daughter got increasingly good at writing, more physically confident, and improved her Spanish. She made friends and looked forward to going to school every day. We plan to continue with their after school program in the fall.; Amenities: Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Has early morning hours, Provides meals; What would you change? I wish the city provided more funding for 3k because it would be amazing if the school also participated in UPK-3. I wish the private 3’s wasn’t so expensive even as I understand why it is, and appreciate that it gave us a slot in the UPK-4 program. It would be nice if the school could offer hot meals or even heat meals brought from home - my daughter preferred packed lunches to the school offerings, good as they seemed.
- Review from the Spring 2024 Early Education SurveyREVIEW: Our family loves One World so so much! I cannot say enough about what a warm, loving, and community-focused place this is. My son , who is on the shy side, has flourished here. They are so supportive that when our second child was born my older one’s teacher designed class discussions and play experiences around the experience of having a new baby in the family, to help him with the transition. All the teachers we’ve experienced have been amazing and really feel like extended family in that I trust them and feel amazing about having my son in their care. He has learned so much about how to be a kind, thoughtful person - as well as their incredible art and music experiences. In addition to the preschool and 4-k, they also offer incredible after school and camp programs (both summer and school holidays).; Amenities: Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Has early morning hours, Provides meals; What would you change? Nothing
- Review from the Spring 2024 Early Education SurveyREVIEW: One World Project focuses on social emotional learning, and happens to be an immersive Spanish language school. It does both things very well. Our child is able to self-regulate, and has developed a very strong emotional base from which to understand herself, her world and her interactions with other people. Her Spanish is better than mine, and she uses it easily in real world settings, even though we don't have a Spanish-speaking household. The teachers are caring and responsive to our concerns, and the school is has managed to create an excellent community. I wold recommend this school to anyone.; Amenities: Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Has early morning hours, Afterschool pickups to other programs; What would you change? I cannot think of any way to improve it.
- Spanish classes for 5 year old?Have you checked out One World Project? They’re running a summer camp in July, it’s a Spanish-immersion program. Our kids have both been going full time during the regular school year and it’s an incredible school and community.
