- Re: D&D after school?I second the endorsement of The Deliberate Myth for after school D&D. My son (now 16) was one of the original participants when this program got started and I know Seth, the local dad who runs it. I even participated in a parent & child campaign on Saturdays many years ago. It’s an excellent program for anyone interested in D&D - welcoming to boys and girls (and all genders).
- Re: D&D after school?we highly recommend Seth/ the Deliberate Myth's programs. Check out the website for details and registration! www.thedeliberatemyth.com
- Review from the Fall 2023 & Spring 2024 Afterschool SurveyREVIEW: This is our 4th year with Deliberate Myth and WE LOVE IT. The Dungeon Masters are so thoughtful and attentive, and the group dynamics that build are great. And of course D+D is great for kids! Skills learned: Creativity, resourcefulness, teamwork, patience. What would you change? Not a thing. Just wish there were more players! Age of child: 15

- Review from the Fall 2022 After School SurveyLocation: Park Slope, Windsor Terrace, Carroll Gardens, Gowanus, South Slope, Kensington, Cobble Hill How old was your child during the Fall 2022 semester? 11 What kind of program is it? D&D campaigns for kids Review: Seth and his team provide a great experience for all the kids involved in a D&D campaign. The Deliberate Myth provides both in-person and virtual campaigns which is great (virtual is useful even after Covid). They group leader works with each group to decide the type of campaign it will be and helps them learn how to work conflicts out. My kid really enjoyed being in a group with other who liked similar things. The online sessions are really well run and there as much conversation and discussion as in-person. With the online sessions the kids have access to whatever D&D publications Seth shares which give them something to do while waiting for their turn and listening to other players turns. What skills did your child develop? Teamwork, sportsmanship, D&D knowledge, storytelling

A D&D program led by a Dungeon Master for a small group of kids. There are multiple sessions in different locations. They develop a narrative/campaign over the course of the year. Review: This is such an awesome program run by a local dad of 2 daughters. My son participated for many years and loved it. He has suspended participation upon starting high school sports but I cannot recommend the program highly enough. It was wonderful for my kid! What skills did your child develop? Storytelling, social skills, friendships. What would you change about the program, if anything, and why? No, it’s fantastic.

DnD campaign Review: The Deliberate Myth sets up ongoing Dungeons and Dragons campaigns for kids after school and on weekends. My kids have been fans of this for years. Seth and his team work really hard to make sure the kids are having a good time and that the campaigns are fun and productive. The kids make their own characters and play them over weeks and often the same group can go for months. What skills did your child develop? The kids definitely learn cooperation and teamwork. They have to listen to each other in order for the campaign to go smoothly. What would you change about the program, if anything, and why? I wish more older kids would join since my 14 year old doesn’t find that there are kids his age.

D&D Review: My son and his friends were all about D&D and looked forward to this weekly early-evening slot more than words can convey. It was as much a safe haven as a roaring good campaign and Seth and Kels were amazing. For kids who’re into gaming, this was a blast. Loved it. What skills did your child develop? All kinds of martial skills that will be invaluable should civilization fall and we find ourselves in a time of swordplay and magic. Which sounds almost preferable sometimes. What would you change about the program, if anything, and why? Nothing
